Blog: Flos Win At Best Office Awards 2016

The seventh edition of the annual Best Office Awards took place earlier this year. Amongst the winners, Flos Lighting’s Tracking Magnet light was awarded Best Lighting Solution For Interior Design Office Projects by the Business & Design Dialogue Forum.

The Award

The Best Office Awards are the main Russian professional award in the field of corporate interiors design. First held in 2010, the annual event sees over 100 projects take part each year. Entrants are judged by an internal jury of experts. This is comprised of architects, consultants, commercial real estate, administrative directors, general contractors and specialized media.

The Entry

Flos took part in the event with a project developed by the architectural studio OFFCON. The project included the Tracking Magnet (completed with spotlight 120 12.5W LED, spotlight 90 9.6W LED, and KAP suspension 8W). The Jasper Morrison designed floor lamp Superloon also featured. Their victory was the result of the brands participation in Office Next Moscow. This is the International Forum For Office Design, Technology, and Real Estate.

The Winner

The title is awarded to the most innovative lighting systems to come from any brand. This year, that brand was Flos. The Tracking Magnet won the award for the designs total flexibility in its function. The light uses magnetic tracks for power distribution. It also enables the installation of a wide range of different LED lighting modules. Incorporating technology and style with class, the Tracking Magnet is at the forefront of its field.

A victory at these awards is recognised as the most important professional acknowledgment in the sector. The win at Best Office Awards is an unparalleled honour both for Flos and the designs and products themselves.
