When you can attribute your name to one of the most brilliant bands of the a decade, any projects you undertake post said group can find it hard to shine through the shadow. Cue Trans: the creative output of ex-Suede guitarist Bernard Butler and The Yummy Fur/1990s frontman Jackie McKeown.
Intricate guitars resound with an effortless expertise over sturdy rhythms and under raw-and-ready vocals in the band’s first offering (below). Psychedelic effects and short films accompany all of their work, marking them out as a duo who really view what they’re making as art. Remaining obscured until they performed at this year’s Liverpool Psychedelic Festival, the group are now ready to really make their mark.
