When you hear the name ‘Midnight Bonfires,’ what do you think of? Sitting by a roaring campfire? Acoustic sing-a-longs by the light of the moon? For us, it’s one of Birmingham’s best loved folk bands, and their name suits them to a T. Characteristic mandolin melodies entwine with distinctive guitars, whilst falsetto vocals provide a darker twist.

Their track ‘Wait’ (below) has become something of an anthem for the band. Energetic rhythms and infectious refrains waste no time at all to embed themselves in your mind, whilst the simple chorus lyrics will have you singing along almost instantly. It sounds good, and it makes you feel good – what more could you ask for?
